The mission of Teachers in the Parks (TIPS) is to ensure that all children have access to high-quality, innovative summer learning opportunities that advance academic achievement, build confidence, and support students' educational and social development..

Research shows that children, especially those in poverty, lose significant academic skills during the summer months.  Our programs aim to combat the summer slide with fun, interactive programs taught by experienced teachers from your community schools.  Instead of bringing kids into school, we meet them where they like to play - in parks, libraries, playgrounds, and even pools!
